Bojan Krkic helped break Chelsea hearts in 2009 - and will be hoping to do the same again tonight for Stoke City.

The Spanish stiker was part of the Barcelona side that knocked the Blues out of the Champions League semi-final on away goals.

And according to Martin Spinks from the Stoke Sentinel, the 24-year-old, who struggled initially after arriving in the summer, is Mark Hughes' side main threat.

He said: "Bojan has been Stoke’s inspiration over the last half-dozen games.

"It’s not just his touch, vision, passing and ability to dribble by people, it’s also his work-rate and even his leadership skills that have impressed.

"Stoke’s only concern is the possibility of an offer for him in January and the probability of an offer for him in the summer."

Another striker - this time one from just down the road from Stamford Bridge - is Spinks' second choice.

Peter Crouch grew up in Ealing and the former QPR player would love to get one over on his former side's rivals.

Aerial threat: Peter Crouch

And Spinks believes Crouch's height could be a decisive factor at both ends of the pitch.

He added: "Two goals in his last two games – albeit tap-ins from two yards against Arsenal and Crystal Palace – are proof that there’s still life left in the old dog yet.

"His height will be as crucial in his own area as Chelsea’s you suspect come the big game."

Spinks' final choice is centre back Ryan Shawcross, who has been an ever-present for the Potters this season.

And Spinks believes the former Manchester United youngster is on the verge of a return to the international fold.

Rock at the back: Ryan Shawcross

He said: "Shawcross is still a titanic presence in the heart of Stoke’s defence – their John Terry if you like.

"Roy Hodgson paid his first visit to the Britannia since becoming England boss when Stoke beat Arsenal and that leaves us feeling he has never been closer to an England recall after being ignored since his one and only cap two years ago.

"He'll certainly do his chances no harm if he can impress against a player of Diego Costa’s quality and physical presence."
