Former England international Steven Caulker is in the starting line for QPR under-23s as they prepare to face Ipswich Town at Loftus Road.

The defender is on the trail back to fitness, and seemingly is not yet ready to return to the first team fold, with the senior squad travelling to Bolton Wanderers in the Championship this weekend.

Kazenga Lua Lua is another senior player also named in Paul Hall's team.

The winger has been out of favour since turning up late for training in September, and this be the first step in him working his way back into Ian Holloway's plans.

There is also starting spots for Sean Goss, and Canadian International Michael Petrasso who has just returned from international duty.

QPR under-23s: Dieng, Petrasso, Paul, Caulker, Hamalainen, Stylianides, Goss, Akinola, Smyth, Oteh, Lua Lua.

Subs: Shodipo, Darbyshire, Herdman, Tilt.
