Fulham should be safe from relegation if the form of the Championship's bottom 10 sides continues.

The Cottagers, who take on west London rivals Brentford tomorrow , have taken seven points from their last six games, a rate of 1.2 per game, and Fulham would finish the campaign on 51 points if that form were to continue until the end of the season.

That would have been enough to keep them up in all but two of the last 10 seasons. In 2007-08 Leicester finished in 22nd place, the last relegation spot, with 52 points, while in 2012-13 Peterborough finished 22nd with 54 points.

However, the form of the Championship's other bottom 10 sides suggests that 51 points should be enough to keep them safe this season.

With just two points from their last six games, Huddersfield Town have the worst form of any of the sides within 10 points of being in the relegation zone. That form would leave the Terriers on 46 points at the end of the campaign.

Wigan, who are currently in the last relegation spot, are 11 points behind that 46 point total and 10 points behind Fulham at the moment.

Malky Mackay's side have taken 10 points from their last six games, and have the best form of the Championship's bottom 10 sides. Should Wigan continue on this form, they'll also finish the season on 46 points.

Only Blackpool and Millwall would have fewer points based on current form, meaning that the last relegation spot could be determined by goal difference between Wigan and Huddersfield.
