Reis Stanislaus had been told to bide his time and he will get a chance to shine at Hampton & Richmond Borough.

The former Egham Town striker made his Beavers debut in Saturday's FA Trophy 2-1 second qualifying round win over Met Police, but had to make do with a place on the bench on Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Harrow Borough.

Beavers boss Paul Barry admitted it would be hard for him to break up the partnership of Charlie Moone, whose equaliser against Harrow was his 16 of the season, and Dan Thomspon.

With competition also coming from Belel Aite-Ouakrim, who scored both goals against Met Police, and Jordan Rocastle, Stanislaus will have his work cut out.

But Barry said: “Reis did okay on Saturday, he is a quick and strong lad. He's probably come in at the wrong time because Charlie is scoring goals, and him and Dan have been working well as a partnership. He will get his opportunity, he just has to be patient.

“I'm quite happy with the squad now, unless somebody outstanding comes along, I will be looking to just promote from the academy. It is still a young squad though, and it will take them a while to find some consistency. There will be good days and bad days.”

Saturday's win set up a third qualifying round game at Basingstoke on Saturday week, before which the Beavers visit Canvey Island before taking on Met Police again, this time in the League Cup, on Tuesday night.
