Chelsea played out a goalless draw at London rivals Spurs this afternoon - and the best of the action is right here in our picture gallery.

The hosts enjoyed the best of the opening stages in a game of few chances, and Chelsea had to wait until the hour mark for their first, when Eden Hazard tested Hugo Lloris.

Hazard said after the game: "It's always difficult to play here, last season we lost 5-3 and we tried to get revenge. It is a good result, we didn't have many good chances but Hugo Lloris made a good save from me. A beautiful save, the game could have been a win for us if that goes in."

Close! A chance goes begging for Pedro

However, the biggest talking point of the day was Diego Costa not only starting on the bench at White Hart Lane, but failing to make it onto the pitch at all.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho insisted after the game that he had no problem with his striker, adding: "If he (Costa) watched the game with some attention from the bench he will know what is needed from him."
