LES Ferdinand has set his sights on managing QPR.
The Rangers hero, affectionately known as Sir Les , has revealed for the first time he wants to return to his old club as number one - but admits he may have to serve his apprenticeship elsewhere before returning to his beloved Loftus Road.
The 43-year-old former England striker from Paddington has also spent a frustrating 14 years-plus since he became Rs’ record transfer sale, praying they would return to the Premiership.
Ferdinand is currently coaching the strikers at Tottenham - but has set his sights higher.
He said: "QPR would be the first club on my list where I would like to become manager. I might have to wait maybe four or five years - or whatever it takes, but it would be a dream job for me.
“From the moment they went down, all I ever wanted was to see them back in the Premier League.
“I know at some stage I will go into management, but at the moment being the strikers’ coach at Tottenham is a great learning curve."
