Slavisa Jokanovic is happy with the way Scott Malone and Ryan Sessegnon have worked as Fulham's left back options.

The 16-year-old has been a revelation so far this season and became the first player born in the year 2000 to score in the Championship.

He will continue to be given minutes by Jokanovic as and when the time dictates but the Serb wants to keep him wrapped up in cotton wool as much as possible.

That is where the role of Malone comes in and the Whites boss has been impressed with what the former Cardiff man has offered.

The Fulham boss said: “Ryan Sessegnon will get games and minutes with me. He's a 16-year-old. I don't want to talk much about him but if he's doing important things at this age.

“He can do many more important things. He's focused on his work on the training ground and he must be ready when he has minutes in the team.

“I'm sure he'll participate with us. He's played very well but Scott Malone, who is in the same position, plays good games too. This position is covered and I'm happy with both players.”

Fulham take on Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon.
