Slavisa Jokanovic has revealed that Tom Cairney is now fully fit after his knee injury and expects him to find his best level of performance going forward.

The Fulham captain has suffered with a knee injury since pre-season, something that has seen him in and out of the side over the course of the season and hasn't allowed him to get into his stride as he was last season.

However, Jokanovic now believes the problem is behind his captain and that he will be playing a key role in their games from now on.

He said: "Yes, he is better and we expect this problem is now behind him and we expect he will be focused on trying to find his best performance.

"I expect this is part of the past and I expect he will be more lucky with this situation what is ahead of us."

Stefan Johansen had been struggling with a groin injury before the international break, but the Norwegian has undergone therapy on the problem over the break and will be fully fit also.

He added "We gave him some rest and make it some therapy for him and we expect he will in highest level in games what is in front of us."

Meanwhile, Sheyi Ojo is back in training and while tomorrow comes too soon for him, he may make the squad for the trip to Sheffield United, while Lucas Piazon is still a month away from fitness.

"It’s good, he's recovered is faster than what expected and soon we expect we can use him, probably in the next game against Sheffield United he can be available.

"With Piazon, there is still probably around one month in front of him to be available."

Fulham will also be without Kevin McDonald for the Derby test, which is a big miss, but Jokanovic has revealed Oliver Norwood will play the 'McDonald role' and backs him to do a good job.

"It’s important miss, he’s one of the players in probably the best form in the team," he said.

"We must be ready, Ollie Norwood will start in this position and I am sure he will make the same job as McDonald makes for us."
