Slavisa Jokanovic believes Steven Sessegnon is a "good project" for Fulham to have and has advised him to "not sleep" and continue working hard to get a first team spot.

The 17-year-old, twin of Ryan, has recently returned from India after winning the U17 World Cup with England, where the right back assisted two goals in the final as they overcame Spain in a 5-2 win, despite going two-goals down.

Ryan Sessegnon was elevated to the first team last season and has been a regular starter for Jokanovic's side this year, but Steven has yet to break into the side, although he did make two appearances in the Carabao Cup early on in the season.

And now after becoming a World Cup winner, the next aim for Steven is to replicate his brother and become a first team regular, with Jokanovic advising him to "not sleep and work hard".

He said: "Like other people, he's a young man and he's a good project of the football player, he needs to be strong and working hard and waiting for the chance.

"When you are waiting it's better you don't sleep and you are working hard, and this is what I expect for Steven Sessegnon."
