Slavisa Jokanovic believes Fulham weren't clinical enough at Villa Park as they went down 2-1 thanks to goals from John Terry and Albert Adomah.

Stefan Johansen dragged the side level with a lovely curling freekick into the far corner but Floyd Ayite and Rui Fonte both missed decent chances which could have ensured a different outcome, but it wasn't to be for the Whites.

And looking back Jokanovic believes they missed too many chances but was satisfied with the way they tried to push for an equaliser in the second half of the game.

He said: "First 45 minutes we find problem with our build up and didn't have enough to start from the back, we started playing so many times with Button and finished with a long ball which is lost in this situation.

"In second half we start to move the ball better and dominate the game - we created some great chances without scoring.

In total we weren't clinical enough in both boxes, we missed chances and weren't strong in our box too they scored easy after one set pieces and the second goal without any dangerous situation for us they scored the goal

"We didn't find a good solution for Kodjia and the long ball.

"It is key situation and we didn't show enough quality and personality, but for another side I must be satisfied with desire and mentality and we pushed to the end but we didn't score the goal and that is it.

"It is a part of the football but when you miss this is it not easy to win and sometimes it happens but after this chance we try and push and try find a way to score but we didn't do it."
