SENIOR AMATEUR DIVISION Deborah FC.....................................0 PEARSCROFT UNITED...............8

ANDY DRUCE's team did all they could on Sunday morning - but in their hearts know they're likely to watch the league title slip out of their hands and into those of Chelsea Town.

Pearscroft's manager was adamant that after losing 15 points in two sea

sons when sides pulled out, rather than expunge records of the departed, everyone remaining should get three points added on, and sides who have points in the bank against the non-finishers should be allowed to keep them.

As you can guess, Pearscroft would now have won the title had West London SFC made it to the end of the season - but the silver lining for

Druce and his Maida Vale team-mates is they're determined to have another go next season.

He said: "A lot of the team are in their 30s - and we would have called it quits had we won the championship.

"But after we lost six points when SFC pulled out, Chelsea only to have win their last game to overhaul us."

Oliver Skeete hit four in the Deborah massacre.

As a result, Ricky Kempton missed out on the match ball - despite his hat-trick - and Stevie Chute all kept Chelsea waiting.

Kempton's second was the pick of the bunch as he connected spectacularly with a volley straight from keeper Ian Lindsay's kick out.
