League leaders Barnet are likely to be without captain Charlie MacDonald for Saturday's visit to AFC Telford after the striker was forced off early during Wednesday's 3-0 victory at Dover Athletic .

MacDonald, who joined in the summer after leaving Oldham Athletic, suffered suspected knee ligament damage just before the break after a collision with Dover goalkeeper Mitch Walker.

Luke Gambin, who replaced MacDonald and scored two goals, is set to deputise again for the Bees while Curtis Weston is likely to wear the armband in MacDonald's absence.

Bees Manager Martin Allen is demanding more of the same from his team after a clinical performance on Wednesday night that ensured the Bees moved two points clear of Halifax and preserved their unbeaten away record.

The 49 year old praised the opportunism of his players' performances and is looking for a repeat on the road at a side who are languishing in the relegation zone at this early stage of the season.

Allen said: “Our goalkeeper made a couple of great saves and when the chances came our way we took them.

“It was an efficient, disciplined, professional performance.”

The early pace setters will fancy their chances after five wins on the spin and with Telford still looking for their first victory of the campaign.
