Fulham owner Shahid Khan has promised an 'exhaustive' selection process to find Felix Magath's successor.

The German was axed on Thursday after a nightmare start to the season that saw the Cottagers take just one point from their opening seven games.

U21 boss Kit Symons has been placed in temporary charge and will have the chance to stake a claim for the job against Blackburn tomorrow.

But Khan insists he will leave no stone unturned to ensure they get the right man for the job.

Axed: Felix Magath was dismissed on Thursday

"To address the obvious question as to whether Kit will be in consideration, the answer is yes," Khan wrote in his programme notes.

"But this will be an exhaustive, thorough and deliberate process. No decisions will be made for the sake of deadlines or convenience.

"I plan to summon a number of qualified advisors for input, some within or close to the Fulham family and others who will bring a perspective from outside the club.

"In the end the decision will be mine but the choice will be made with the benefit of excellent and highly respected counsel."

Former Norwich manager Chris Hughton and ex-West Brom chief Steve Clarke are other names in the frame.

Tickets for tomorrow’s match are still available to purchase online: www.fulhamfc.com or from turnstiles on the day.
