QPR unveiled new signing Wayne Routledge before Saturday's FA Cup tie with Burnley - and were then reminded why he will be needed.

The Rs struggled to muster a shot on target throughout the 90 minutes against the Carling Cup semi-finalists and now face a difficult replay after a turgid 0-0 draw at Loftus Road.

Routledge struggled to make an impact during a loan spell just down the road at Fulham two seasons ago, but Rangers are convinced the 23-year-old winger will open up defences for them.

Heidar Helguson's loan move from Bolton has been made into a permanant deal, as expected.

If Rangers can get past Burnley, they will face the winners of the Peterborough v West Brom replay - either at League One Posh's London Road ground or at the Hawthorns should Premier League Albion progress.
