Ross McCormack insists he’s got no regrets joining Fulham this summer.

The Cottagers fought off competition from Championship rivals Norwich City to land the Scotland striker in an £11million deal from Leeds United.

Fulham go into today’s clash against the Canaries among the relegation places, while the visitors are flying high at the top of the table.

However, McCormack still believes it was the right decision to move to Craven Cottage.

He said: “I don’t have any regrets. On a personal level I’m really enjoying it and it’s a good club to be at.

“I bought into the project here after speaking to the chief executive Alistair Mackintosh. The only thing I regret is our position in the table, but I don’t think that will take long to rectify.

Hot shot: McCormack fires home for Fulham against Nottingham Forest

“There’s definitely still a possibility of promotion. There’s 100 points to play for and we are only 14 points off the top. It would be ludicrous to write us off.”

Chris Hughton has emerged as the hot favourite for the Fulham job, but caretaker manager Kit Symons can make a last-ditch attempt to persuade owner Shahid Khan to give him the gig full-time.

McCormack says the temporary boss has helped lift the gloom around the club after Felix Magath’s disastrous time in charge.

Team Kit: McCormack has praised the impact of Symons

He added: “I think we’ve shown in the last three or four games what we’re trying to do. Kit has come in and has got us playing a different brand of football.

"Results have improved and people are walking around the training ground with a smile on their face.”
