Ross McCormack’s release clause at Fulham is the same as it was for the first Mousa Dembele at the Cottage - £15 million.

A number of Premier League club covet the Whites leading hit man, now restored to the Scotland fold. Previous reports suggested £12.5 million will secure the 29-year-old’s signature.

But GetWestLondon has been told by reliable sources the player who signed an extension in January keeping him at Fulham until 2020, happily agreed his release should be upped another £2.5m.

It’s the same fee as it was for Mousa Dembele, he of the Belgian variety and not the current teenage starlet, when transferred to Tottenham in August 2012.

Boss Slavisa Jokanovic is determined to hang on to McCormack at all costs, especially as he has vowed to build a new team around the forward, with summer targets geared to compliment the player who cost Fulham £11 million from Leeds in July 2014.

McCormack hopes to get a second outing in a week for his country on Saturday evening when Scotland face France in Metz.
