Harry Redknapp admits he has 'no idea' whether Europa League hero Stephane Mbia will ever pull on a QPR shirt again.

The midfielder is on loan at Sevilla this season and on Thursday, scored the injury time goal that booked his adopted club a place in the Europa League final against Benfica.

Mbia also scored in the first leg victory against Valencia and has become a key figure for the La Liga side.

The 27-year-old Cameroon international could return to the fold if Rangers go up, but the Rangers boss thinks it equally likely that other Premier League teams will come calling. He is out of contract in the summer.

“I don't honestly know if he'll be back,” Redknapp said. “He was loaned out and I wasn't involved in that.

“Talking to the club, he went out on loan because of his wages and we got him off the wage bill, but he would have been a big player in this division, there's no doubt about that.

“I always felt he would be a real powerhouse in the Championship if he'd stayed, but he wanted to move.

“It's the same as Loic Remy, Adel Taarabt, and Julio Cesar. They were on big wages but decided they wanted to move on and it was difficult to keep them here.

“I would think there would be some Premier League teams wanting to take him next year. I think there would be plenty of takers.”
