QPR'S survival hopes have been dealt another blow after Ali Faurlin was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The Argentine midfielder was stretchered off in the late stages of Saturday's FA Cup draw at MK Dons.

And the 25-year-old has revealed he has ruptured his cruciate ligament, which will see him miss the rest of the campaign.

He said: “I just wanna let u know guys, it's bad news for me. I have ruptured my ACL - I'm out for the rest of the season! Really disappointed [and] sad!

“Things [have] never been easy for me! But for sure I will be back stronger! I accept this test as professional and person as well!”

Faurlin also paid tribute to Neil Warnock after the 63-year-old was axed as managed this afternoon.

He added: “Finally I wanna say thanks to Neil, Curley [Keith Curle] and Mike [Mick Jones]. It has been a pleasure [to] work with them! They made history at QPR!”
