Queens Park Rangers won 2-0 against Nottingham Forest in what was a massive game for both clubs this afternoon.

Digital Football Writer Mark Ritson was at Loftus Road reporting on the game for Get West London between the Championship strugglers.

Here are his player ratings for Ian Holloway's men, below.

Smithies - Stunning save to deny Carayol at his near post early on. Relatively quiet for the rest of the first half. Redeemed himself with a great reaction save after spilling a shot from Ward, saved again from Ward and David Vaughan after that. Saved the best save for last from Assombalonga. Outstanding performance and he'll be delighted with the clean sheet. 10

Perch - Looked to be in for a tricky afternoon against Carayol. But he did look get forward when possible. Nothing much to say in the second half, got through the game with ease. 7

Onuoha - Early booking for a late challenge. Didn't deter him from making a couple more hard but fair tackles. Easy afternoon for the majority and a clean sheet. 8

Lynch - Had a good battle with Assombalonga in the first half, was big and commanding. Got his second goal in as many games with another header, this time to put Rangers 2-0 up. Clean sheet. 8

Bidwell - Not much to note in the first half, fairly solid and a couple of runs forward. Clean sheet. 6

Luongo - Had a long range effort from 25 yards well held. His pass led to Washington's opener, although there was a mistake from the Forest defence. Went a bit quiet towards the end. 6

Manning - Had a few good bursts in the first period, but couldn't make a big impression as he'd like. Got the assist for Lynch's goal, before having a long range effort go narrowly over. 7

Freeman - Always looking for that pass to unlock Forest's defence. His corner in the second half led to Rangers' second goal of the game. 7

Wszolek - Nearly opened the scoring early on with a low shot towards the near post. But he faded into the second half and it was somewhat surprising he lasted as long as he did. 5

Smith - Goal-bound header off the line after Wszolek and Washington were denied. Should have put Rangers 1-0 up at the start of the second half. Put his frame about as usual. 6

Washington - Not much to report on in the first half but certainly at the start of the second. Found himself through on goal to put Rangers ahead very well. Taken off for Mackie. 7

Substitutes

Mackie - Came on for Washington but didn't really do much up top. 4

Ngbakoto - On for Smith and looked to get a few balls into the box. 5
