Queens Park Rangers secured a 2-1 win over Barnsley on Tuesday evening, thanks to Idrissa Sylla and an own goal by Angus MacDonald.

It was a nervous ending after Tom Bradshaw pulled a goal back for the visitors, but the Hoops held on for all three points.

Pawel Wszolek impressed for Rangers on Tuesday night

We were at Loftus Road to cast our eye on the Hoops and rate how each player got on for Ian Holloway.

Check out our player ratings below.

Smithies - Looked confident early on and had to show it when Barnsley looked for a way back in. Hardly troubled in the second half until Barnsley got one back when Bradshaw rounded him to get a goal back. 7

Perch - So unlucky not to make it 2-0, timing his run superbly to Freeman's cross, but his header came back off the crossbar. Went off injured early in the second half unfortunately. 6

Bidwell - A wonderful goal-line clearance to stop Marley Watkins close to half-time. Earned a standing ovation for that. 7

Hall - Not much to say but he was fairly solid and didn't do much wrong. 7

Onuoha - Used his experience in keeping Barnsley out for most of the contest. Nothing outstanding but didn't do too much wrong. 7

Wszolek - Looked dangerous in the first half, wanting to take on the full-back and get some deliveries in. Grabbed an assist for Rangers' second of the night. 8

Luongo - Kept things neat and tidy in the middle of the park, went about his business quietly but effectively. 7

Ngbakoto - Nearly made it 2-0 with a stunning volley which was pushed around the post. Assisted the opening goal. 7

Freeman - Lively for the Hoops and looked to get on the ball when possible. 8

Sylla - A slight touch to guide the ball in for the opening goal. Didn't really have any chances as the match went on, at times needing a bit more support. But he suddenly came alive just past the hour mark to force an own goal from Angus MacDonald after Pawel Wszolek's pinpoint cross. 7

Manning - Didn't stop running in the middle and always looked to get on the ball. Can be happy with his work. 7
