James Perch has held his hands up on behalf the Queens Park Rangers squad and says their recent slump "is not acceptable".

Rangers were one of the sides in form in the Championship a month ago, winning five out of seven.

But after the international break at the end of March, the club's results have gone pear-shaped, losing six on the spin.

And Perch know the goals going in at the wrong end needs to stop in the final two games of the campaign.

"It just isn't good enough and it's not acceptable. I can't put my finger on it," he told Get West London.

"It has been the odd goal which had beaten us in the previous five, and this one was two.

"It's disappointing and we can't keep conceding goals and expecting to win games. That's the be all and end all, really.

"We can't concede two goals a game and expect to win 3-2, it's not going to happen."

James Perch knows QPR have to stop rot against Nottingham Forest this weekend

Perch comes up against his former side Nottingham Forest this Saturday, a club fighting to stay in the Championship.

Rangers are not safe and know a win will guarantee safety and also give the supporters a slight lift in the final game of the season at Loftus Road.

"We need to move on to the last two games and we have a tough week ahead of us now, training-wise," he said.

"It's about focusing on facing Nottingham Forest now. This week is going to be intense in training. We have to be up for it and be ready.

"I don't know what the gaffer might have in mind, I can't remember what he did last time we lost six games on the bounce, but we need to respond well as players."
