QPR forward Jamie Mackie has said that two goals should have been enough to get the win against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The Hoops fell to a 3-2 defeat against the promotion contenders, and Mackie said that it's crucial that the side learn how to hold onto a lead.

Speaking to the club's website, he said: "Given how far we’ve come and where we’re going, frustration was the biggest feeling after the game.

“When you score two goals in a game, it should be enough. So we’ve got to learn quickly about game management and doing the right things at the right time.

“When we’re winning in games, we have to know how to see them out.

“If you’d have told me in the morning that we’d score two goals, I would have thought that we were coming away with something.”
