It wasn't a classic, but QPR did enough to progress through to the second round of the Carabao Cup after winning 1-0 against Northampton Town.

Who would you choose as the top players so far?

3 stars - Luke Freeman

The only player who looks capable of changing this match. His ability to use both feet, turn and run at the defence seems to be causing some issues for Northampton. Nearly scored a world class volley from 25 yards in the second half before being taken off just after the hour.

2 stars - Darnell Furlong

Looked lively down the right, putting in challenges and trying to get forward at every opportunity. It was his header that was denied by David Cornell leading up to the QPR goal.

Certainly did his first team chances no harm.

1 star - Yeni Ngbakoto

Really grew into the second half after breaking the deadlock in the first. Provided a sublime flick for Luke Freeman which nearly resulted in an early goal of the season contender. Looks a lot more threatening when utilised around the front man.
