The stage is set - QPR and Brentford are set to meet for the 67th time in all competitions tonight at Loftus Road .

The hosts will be looking to return to winning ways after their 1-0 defeat away to Sheffield Wednesday last weekend - whist Brentford will be looking for their first victory this month, having been without a win in their last four games.

Last season saw a win each for the two sides at their respective homes - a 1-0 victory for Brentford at Griffin Park in October before a 3-0 triumph for QPR at Loftus Road in March.

We'll be bringing you all the best build-up, match action and analysis throughout the night.

And, we want you to get involved too - so tweet us at either @QPR_GetWest or @BeesGetwest if you want to get your opinions over to us.

BRENTFORD: Smith praises "wonderful" Bees

Dean Smith has been speaking after the match - and he was a big fan.

He said:

“We wanted to be quicker in the ball than we were against Barnsley last week and I thought we were a threat.

“We knew they were a team that liked to pressure and at times we’d have to play really tight and we’ve got players that are capable of that.

BRENTFORD: There's a belief

Romaine Sawyers has said that there is a belief in the Brentford camp after their 2-0 win over QPR.

That’s ended a 52-year wait for a victory at Loftus Road for the Bees.

Think it’s safe to say all Brentford fans won’t want to wait that long again.

QPR: Defeat 'painful' to take

Hasselbaink isn’t happy after that one.

In fact, no-one related to QPR is happy after that.

The boss has been speaking to the media after the game though - and he’s admitted that defeat is “painful” to take.

Let’s hope it’s not as bad as it looked.

Hogan praises Sawyers

This is great to see!

QPR supporters are understandably not happy with that one.

Late pressure

A bit of late pressure from QPR is ended after Bentley claims a loose cross.

This has been a good night for Brentford.

Kerschbaumer misses

That should have been three!

Hogan pulls it back to Kerschbaumer but he blasts it over the bar when it looked easier to get it on target!

Final change

Last sub of the night

Added time

We’re in to eight minutes of added time here - hardly surprising after the Macleod injury.

  • Share

Stretchered off

Macleod is now stretchered off to applause from all sides of Loftus Road.

Let’s hope for a swift recovery.

Macleod down

Hmm, this does not look good.

Macleod has been plagued by injuries and has just gone down holding his knee after what initially looked a pretty innocuous fall.

Replays show he might have twisted his knee quite badly there. Let’s hope it’s not as bad as it looks.

Brentford fans

The Bees supporters are definitely enjoying themselves now...

Sylla close!

QPR almost got straight back in to it there.

Sylla powers a header towards goal but Egan got back well to clear it out.

Well done that man.

GOAL: QPR 0-2 Brentford (Sawyers)

Oh wow, what a strike this is.

It’s good work from Brentford in the corner to win the ball and then when the ball is pulled back to Sawyers near the edge of the box he unleashes an unstoppable strike in to the top corner.

Game over? Maybe so...

First Brentford change

First sub of the night for Brentford now...

Polter on

And there’s the second sub of the night...

Hogan denied

Well, that could have been 2-0.

A good counter, and good work by Clarke again releases Hogan - but again Smithies is on hand to deny the Brentford striker.

QPR pressing

Dangerous from QPR...

Washington whips in a fantastic ball from the left flank but it’s just above any Rangers heads in the area.

  • Share

Substitution

Here’s the first change of the night.

  • Share

The half so far

Just over an hour played and QPR have been much better this half.

But, Brentford are still looking dangerous. Hogan was almost in one-on-one with Smithies but the keeper was out quickly to thwart the through-ball.

  • Share

Chery free kick wide

Chery has just lined up a free kick from a fair distance - but put it just wide.

This will be pleasing Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink a lot more, it has to be said.

  • Share

Close...

Ohhhh...

Robinson floats a ball in to the back post but it’s just beyond Sylla.

That’s much better movement from the forward - and much better play from QPR in general really.

  • Share

Sylla down again

Sylla’s had another coming-together with a Brentford player in quick succession...

  • Share

Sylla down - nothing given

Sylla goes down in the box looking for a penalty but he had no chance of getting that - he’s backed in to the defender more than anything.

But, this has been much better from QPR so far - they’re pressing higher up the pitch and already causing a few more problems.

Dangerous free kick

Woods has given away a really cheap free kick there and this is a dangerous position for QPR...

...but the free kick is easily gathered by Bentley.

Attendance

Good amount of support here tonight...
