Dean Smith is impressed by the quality of QPR's front four ahead of Brentford's trip to Loftus Road.

Rangers were impressive in their 2-0 win over a lacklustre Derby side with Junior Hoilett, Matt Phillips, Tjaronn Chery and Sebastian Polter looking dangerous going forward.

At the back, Clint Hill produced a remarkable performance despite struggling with a hamstring injury and Smith knows the Hoops hero will be determined to give Rangers bragging rights.

He said: “I thought the front four were very attack minded. It's been interesting that they've changed the front man so it'll be interesting to see what they do on Saturday.

“Clint Hill was excellent on Tuesday. His know-how and experience helped them and he'll know what a local derby is all about.”

Impressive: Tjaronn Chery.

Smith is determined to restore smiles to the faces of Brentford supporters and he knows how important the QPR game is for the fans.

He added: “To go to our neighbours and get a good performance and result will be extra special. We know how much it means for the supporters.

“I was speaking to Lee Carsley about the home game and how much that meant to them. To get the double over them would be one to savour for sure.”

He explained furhter: “I was brought up on Aston Villa-Birmingham games. I understand the rivalries and how intense they can be.”
