Jack Robinson is being considered for selection for QPR's game with Brentford on Friday night, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has confirmed.
The former Liverpool man suffered a serious knee injury in May 2015 during a loan spell at Huddersfield.
He has only made one appearance for Hoops since then, coming in the 2-1 win over Charlton last season.
And Hasselbaink has confirmed that Robinson is 'fully fit and in contention' for Friday's meeting with the Bees, while Jake Bidwell is still absent with a dislocated shoulder.
It means that the Dutchman will have to choose between the returning left back or youngster Niko Hamalainen.
The 19-year-old made his first league start for Hoops for the 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday and produced a competent performance.
He has previously replaced Joel Lynch in games against Bristol City and Fulham but his inexperience may count against him for the west London derby.
If Hasselbaink wants to look for alternative options then James Perch would be another candidate at left back.
