Queens Park Rangers are chasing the signature of FC Metz defender Gaetan Bussmann, according to reports in France.

Bussmann, who plays at left-back, has been the subject of approaches from numerous approaches for English sides including QPR and Bristol City.

And despite initially holding out for a move to the Premier League , it appears he may be set for a move to the Championship.

The 24-year-old scored two goals and set up four assists in 31 appearances as FC Metz were relegated from Ligue 1 last season.

And despite Chris Ramsey having acquired Paul Konchesky on loan from Leicester, it appears that he is on the hunt for another left sided defender.

Bussmann has made 96 senior appearances for his club, scoring 10 goals and assisting as many - though over half of those were in France’s second tier.
