QPR have Ryan Fredericks on their radar - but could find Tottenham’s £3 million valuation for the right-back beyond their reach.

Fredericks would be the perfect Rs fit, especially as the Spurs academy graduate had such a successful 2014-15 season with Middlesbrough that took them to the Championship play-off final.

Rangers head coach Chris Ramsey had much to do with Fredericks’ development at White Hart Lane, but getwestlondon understands Spurs don't want a second successive loan and prefer a straight sale.

That’s because Fredericks is in the last year of his Tottenham contract, even though the north London whites are blessed with options in defence.

Earlier at Boro, the 22-year-old promised to try and sort out his future.

“Anything is possible in football and you never know what will happen at the end of the season,” he said.

“I’m a Tottenham Hotspur player and it’s up to them if they want to do something or not.

“I’ll speak to them and then I’ll have a clearer idea of what may happen next season.”
