QPR recorded a deserved victory over Sheffield United at Loftus Road, winning the game 1-0.

The Hoops could have added to Idrissa Sylla's fortuitous early goal, but will still be happy with the three points.

It was an excellent team performance, but who came out on top in our player ratings?

Three stars - Alex Baptiste

The defender was colossal at the back and seemed to win every battle he faced.

He had a tricky night with Leon Clarke giving him a real physical test from start to finish, but remained composed and looked assured both in the air and with the ball at his feet.

Baptiste has certainly grown in confidence since joining the Hoops, and his experience is a clear asset for the young defence that line up around him.

Two stars - Massimo Luongo

The midfielder said in the build-up to the game that he wanted to "suffocate" the opposition with QPR's intense pressing game, and boy did he do that.

The Australian international has been the model of consistency this season, setting the standard for work rate and aggression in midfield.

Could have wrapped up the points with a bending effort in the second half, but will be happy with his display.

One star - Conor Washington

Despite not getting on the score-sheet the striker was a constant thorn in the paw of the Blades, consistently getting in behind the defence in the first half, and making sure that the back line and goalkeeper were constantly on alert due to his direct running.

Could and should have got on the score-sheet, but ultimately will be delighted with his overall contribution.
