SHAUN Wright-Phillips has a point to prove against Manchester City tomorrow, according to one of his team-mates.

The QPR winger faces his former club for the first time since quitting Eastlands for Loftus Road on transfer deadline day.

Wright-Phillips made 275 appearances across two stints for the Blues, but fell down the pecking order under Roberto Mancini, clearing the decks for a return to west London.

And QPR striker Jay Bothroyd insists the England international will be out to show his old boss what he's missing.

“If your club lets you go you want to go out there and prove them wrong," he said. "Shaun's been playing well and has shown good form.

“It's a game he's been looking forward to and he'll be out to get one over his old team for sure.

“He still respects them because he spent a big part of his career there. The Man City fans love him so I'm sure he'll get a good reception."
