CLINT Hill fulfilled a boyhood ambition by playing at Anfield on Saturday – now he wants to make sure QPR will be going back there again next season.

The lifelong Liverpool fan graced the famous stadium where he used to watch his heroes with a brief cameo in the 1-0 defeat on Merseyside.

The defeat leaves Rangers four points clear of the drop zone, and with Manchester United and Arsenal both to play this month, Hill has set his sights on the 40-points mark.

“It was fantastic for myself to play at the club I've always supported,” he said.

“I had some family and everyone there so fulfilling that kind of dream was fantastic for me. Unfortunately we didn't get the result we wanted, but Liverpool played really well and caused us a lot of problems.

“Our first objective for the season is survival, so if we can finish fourth from bottom that will be a good season for us. We know we can play better. We didn't keep the ball as well as we could and we didn't create enough chances.”

QPR have already beaten Chelsea at Loftus Road this season, while they also gave league leaders Manchester City a run for their money.

And Hill is confident they will give United a game on Sunday.

He added: “We don't fear anyone – we're enjoying being in this league. We're still naive in the sense that we're a young team in the Premiership.

“We will make mistakes and get punished for them, but at home we feel confident we can give anyone a game.”

“There's no easy games and a point here and there adds up. We need to score more goals and keep them out, they're the simple ingredients.

“If you get to 40 points and go down that's very unlucky. Hopefully we'll get to that mark and when we do hopefully we'll get a few more points. It's going to be a long, hard season but hopefully we can do it.”
