Queens Park Rangers man Joel Lynch hopes to rekindle his defensive partnership with Grant Hall next season.

Hall, who has been out injured in recent weeks, has been a big miss for the club, while boss Ian Holloway is a big fan of the centre-back.

Holloway had previously wanted to play three at the back, with Hall taking his place alongside Lynch and Nedum Onouha.

"Grant fits into that three at the back perfectly for us. He's been a massive miss and it's been unfortunate he's been injured," Lynch told Get West London.

Grant Hall in action for the Hoops

"I think a few games we have lost recently, we were unlucky and didn't take our chances and made some mistakes a long the way.

"But Grant has been a miss as he had a good season, and it's good for him to play in that position.

"He's a class player and hopefully he comes back in pre-season ready to go again."
