Grant Hall wants QPR to do a Leeds next season.

The defender was an instrumental part of the Super Hoops side that drew 0-0 at Elland Road and deserved to win.

The 3-0 defeat of the Whites on opening day led Hall to think that the R’s would be in the top six this season, but he is determined for a Leeds-like campaign next time round.

“We came away from Leeds thinking that we want to be in their position next season,” Hall said.

“They’ve done fantastically well. We played them in the first game of the season and beat them 3-0, we thought we’d be the team up there.

"It’s a very tough league and it’s tough to do well. We aspire to do what they’ve done.”

Despite the progress made under Ian Holloway since January, 15th is not the position QPR saw themselves in at the start of the season.

The current Supporters Player of the Year admits that it has been a frustrating season.

“It’s been tough, of course. We’re not where we want to be,” he said.

“I think we’re now getting to where we want to be in the way we’re performing.

“We’re now understanding what the manager wants from us. We could be a real threat next season.

“I think there’s been too much talk recently, about finishing here and finishing there. We just need to take games one at a time."
