Clint Hill insists he’s yet to hear a word from QPR over any new contract contrary to reports – whether as player or coach.

The defender reckons it will be July before he knows the future and is resigned to waiting in line with the 14 others out of contract.

However, the 36-year-old insists he’d jump at the chance of any offer.

He said “Offers of a new deal? It’s not been mentioned to me. The story’s come out of thin air, and that goes for 14 other players.

“It’s up to the club, if they think I can give them anything, I’m up for it.”

Hill like everyone else in Hoops, fan or player, knows it’s ‘three wins or nothing’.

Nothing is more likely if they get the same luck next weekend at Manchester City as they did at Anfield, and other results go against them.

Sympathy: Rio Ferdinand

“The lads have given everything we’ve got,” he said “It’s the small details of competing well with a big club only to see small details and late goals cost us.

“It’s been the story of our season.”

Hill and the Rs squad woke up on Saturday morning at the team hotel to the devastating news team-mate Rio Ferdinand’s wife had lost her battle with cancer.

“It was a big shock to everybody when we woke up on the morning of the game.

“It’s tragic and nobody wants to intrude at this time, but we’ll get around him and give him all the support we can.”
