QPR are prepared to bite the bullet and loan out Adel Taarabt in January - contrary to what they said in August.

Boss Harry Redknapp’s extraordinary outburst in response to a GetWestLondon question on Sunday following the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool, has prompted Rs to about turn over a vow to sell the midfielder at a buy-out clause £5million or nothing.

In Sunday's press conference, the manager claimed the Moroccan international was ‘three stone’ overweight, a clear exaggeration, although Harry was still raw with emotion following the ‘unjust’ result inflicted by the Reds.

However, the man in charge made it plain he had lost patience with a player he claims is unwilling to work for a first-team place.

Taarabt countered showing a pretty trim physique for the camera.

But in a continuing war of words, the manager then claimed the 25-year-old was ‘the worst professional’ he had ever come across, and insisted he wouldn’t play until he was back in shape.

Before the transfer window closed, Redknapp reckoned Taarabt wouldn’t get a second loan to AC Milan where he played for the second half of last season following a loan at Fulham in the first half.

But a source close to Rs indicated all that’s changed after the verbal firestorm.

“Chances are the club will look at all options come January,” said the source. “Things have clearly moved on since August.”
