QPR have confirmed an extended deal for central defender Grant Hall that keeps him at the club until 2019.

The 24-year-old joined from Tottenham last summer on a two-year deal and has been one of Rangers’ top performers in his 22 appearances.

The QPR defender paid tribute to the work Tottenham did for his career in an interview in November , and now believes he can kick on even further from the makeweight he was to a Rangers fixture at the back.

Deal: Grant Hall

He said: "Knowing I have got a long-term deal means I can really concentrate on my football. I’m very happy here and I want to progress because my aim is to play for QPR in the Premier League.

“It is a fantastic club and I have a great relationship with the fans. They have really taken to me and helped me a lot, which I really appreciate.

“I came in as a back-up player, but when I have got my chance I have taken it, and I feel I’ve gone from strength to strength.

“I am really confident in the way I am playing and believe I can only get better if I keep doing the right things," he told the club's website.

Hall and Rangers next match is away to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Saturday.
