QPR must back themselves more in order to end their losing run, according to midfielder Massimo Luongo.

Rangers are well aware that if they fall behind they struggle to come back with their last win after conceding first the 4-3 win against Bolton last October.

Hoops travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on New Year's Eve desperate to end their run of six defeats on the spin and avoid ringing in 2017 looking nervously over their shoulder at the bottom three.

Luongo said: “I think we're going into games where we need to back ourselves a bit more and have a bit more belief.

“That needs to go through the whole team and carry us through the next game.”

QPR suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Wolves at the start of the month. James Perch was sent off before Dave Edwards and Helder Costa put the visitors into a 2-0 lead.

Wolves sat back and Rangers pulled a goal back through Joel Lynch and the defender missed a golden opportunity to equalise just minutes later.
