Armand Traore is fighting a trapped nerve in his back that adds to QPR’s injury woes.

The left-sided midfielder picked up the problem late in the 1-1 draw against Leeds on Saturday when all subs had been used and was forced to grit his teeth when the problem transferred to his right calf.

Rangers had already suffered setbacks in Friday’s training when Niko Kranjcar suffered a recurrence of his hamstring problem. Gary O’Neil (thigh), Andy Johnson, and Benoit Assou-Ekotto (abductor strain) also pulled up to miss out against Leeds.

The good news is that Charlie Austin should be back ‘within four to six weeks’ according to boss Harry Redknapp after his leading striker was originally thought to be out for the season.

Midfielders Matt Phillips and Ali Faurlin remain long-term injuries.
