QPR boss Ian Holloway has tasked his side with rectifying their patchy defensive record as they gear up for the new season.

The Hoops ended last season with a goal difference of -14 which played a huge part in their disappointing league finish last year, and the manager has put rectifying that at the top of his priorities list.

He said: "The group knows we need to concede fewer goals.

"We’ve got to get rid of our minus goal difference. 66 goals is a huge task, but unfortunately one or two things are standing in the way of that but there are things which I think will be resolved in the next week or so."
