Ian Holloway has hailed the return of Nedum Onuoha and Grant Hall, saying that they offer the experience the club need to get out a relegation scrap.

Both Onuoha and Hall made their long-awaited returns to first-team action as the Hoops fell to a 3-1 defeat against Leeds United, but Ollie is hoping that a blend of youth and experience can prove fruitful.

Speaking after the game, he said: "It’s great to have Nedum back and it’s great to have Hally (Grant Hall) back to bring that bit of experience, but it’s also good to see Ilias Chair play again. Unfortunately we haven’t won with him playing yet, so that’s the downside. In life you have to keep fighting. If you keep doing the right things you should get the right result in the end.

"We’ve just got to get on with the next game and see how we go. We’ve got to get rid of the away voodoo, we’ve got Birmingham next, and we won there last year so let’s have another go, that’s all you can do.

"We’ll look at the stats, we’ll look at who’s there, we’ll look at who’s fit and who’s not suspended and where we are and see if I can maybe freshen it up with people who haven’t had to go through this, because it looks like they’re getting down a little bit."
