Grant Hall praised the QPR fans for sticking with their team after they were beaten by west London rivals Brentford by a goal to nil.

Marco Djuricin's goal was the difference between the two sides in a derby that defences, by and large, dominated.

Some Rangers fans have turned against Chris Ramsey but that wasn't overly visible after a first defeat to the Bees in 50 years.

Hall said: “The QPR fans have been fantastic. It's gutting for them to lose a local derby as you want bragging rights but they were clapping us off at the end.

“I wasn't surprised by the intensity. The two sides haven't met for a long time so I wasn't surprised by the hostility.

“I didn't think there was a lot in the game to be honest. It was tough to take a 1-0 loss.”

QPR have now dropped below Brentford in the table after an inconsistent run of form and Hall wants to win a few games on the spin to return Rangers to the play-off positions.

He added: “We've been inconsistent. We've picked up wins, draws and losses. We're not where we want to be at the moment but, hopefully, come the end of the season we will be. We just need to go on a run.”
