QPR will definitely be without one striker and are keeping their fingers crossed on a second ahead of tomorrow’s home clash with Sunderland.

Boss Harry Redknapp will definitely be without Chile World Cup striker Eduardo Vargas, whose clearance has yet to be rafted, and Charlie Austin will be assessed later today in training.

In fact, Redknapp hasn’t seen the Chilean since last week when he signed forms on loan from Napoli.

“We haven’t seen him,” said the manager. “He’s in Chile. We were hoping he would be back in time for this game, but as of this morning, he’s yet to return.

Austin pulled up with a hamstring strain ahead of last week’s 4-0 mauling at Tottenham, and took no part in the 1-0 shock exit to Burton in the Capital Cup midweek.

Ale Faurlin is now a long-term injury after his devastating third ACL injury on Wednesday, otherwise the same squad that lost out at Spurs will come back for the second string that lost at the League Two club.
