QPR legend Stan Bowles was the first recipient of the new 2017-18 home shirt, after he was presented with it at his home in Manchester.

It was presented by his former R's team-mate Don Shanks and club Ambassador Andy Sinton, who paid him a visit to honour him with the shirt in person.

Speaking to the club's website, Sinton said: "It was a real honour and privilege to present Stan with the very first home shirt of the new campaign.

"He is widely-regarded as the greatest player to ever pull on the blue and white hoops, so it is really fitting that he was given the first one.

"The kits look fantastic and I am sure the fans will be delighted to see the hoops featuring across all three designs."

The new-look Errea kit provides a perfect mix of tradition and elegance, with clean-cut lines, attention to detail and a modern style being the hallmark features.

The designs merge the history and tradition of the club with the most sophisticated style innovation and research, while also taking into account the tastes and opinions of the fans.

Red and navy provides an alternative to the Dennis The Menace design, while the green in the third offers a nod to the 100th anniversary of our time at Loftus Road, when the R's wore green and white.

The kits will go on sale in the QPR Superstore from 10 tomorrow (Saturday), with former QPR players Andy Sinton, Ian Gillard, Kevin Gallen and Martin Rowland all set to be in attendance.

They will then be available online from Monday.
