Uwe Rosler reckons England’s manager would do worse than take a second look at QPR’s keeper.

Rob Green was the proverbial monkey on a stick to keep Wigan boss Rosler and his team at bay as Rs squeaked home 1-0.

The Rs shot stopper saved the best until last when he clawed out a powerful header from Nicky Maynard and preserve his clean sheet.

On the strength of what he saw, Roy Hodgson could do worse than give Green another go, although the former Brentford manager still reckons Latics were hard done by.

“Everybody in the stadium saw we should have got something out of the game,” Rosler said.

“The QPR goalkeeper was man of the match and Roy should have a look at him.”

A sentiment echoed by Hoops assistant manager Kevin Bond as reflected on a vital win.

“He’s (Green) been so dependable – and you come to expect that from him.

“But Wigan are a good side. We started brightly and got the goal we needed and it was a very good game of football.”
