QPR are gambling on an appeal against Nedum Onuoha's straight red card incurred in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton.

Rangers insist the dismissal of their captain as he went shoulder to shoulder with Sam Baldock in the 56th minute was nothing more than a fair challenge.

The appeal will be heard tomorrow (December 29) with a decision expected the same day.

If Onuoha is exonerated he will be free to face Wolves on Saturday, and if not is banned a minimum one game, provided the FA do not consider the appeal trivial, and in the unlikely event - increase the suspension.
