Welcome to our newly-formed QPR Fans Panel!

Each week we'll be asking our outspoken R's a number of questions around the current events at Loftus Road to get a small sample of what the fans are thinking.

In today's edition we discuss the rumours surrounding goalkeeper Alex Smithies and a move to hometown club Huddersfield Town.

What are your thoughts on the rumours of Alex Smithies being on the radar of former-club Huddersfield Town? Do you think he'll stay?

Ben Platt

If Huddersfield (or any other club) put in a bid and it it's the right offer he deserves that opportunity. He would definitely want to challenge himself in the premier league. We have Matt Ingram in the wings, who could be just as good.

Jess Unwin

Again, not surprised. Best keeper we've had since Paddy Kenny. If Huddersfield are promoted and they come looking for him it'll be tempting for him as they're his hometown team. But we're lucky that Ingram a readymade replacement.

Paul Curry

Smithies is easily the best keeper we've had at Loftus Rd for a few years, I think he'll leave if Huddersfield do get promoted, Alex could be first choice keeper for any number of mid-table Premier League sides, so I wouldn't blame him for leaving, I suspect him signing a new contract with us earlier on this year was solely so we could be command a higher price for him at the negotiation table.

Paul Gibbons

Predictable rumour, obvious link, former team could go up, he’s a top keeper. If anything in it, and they do go up, then yes I think he’ll go, and wouldn't blame him.
