QPR goalkeeper Alex Smithies is worth £11million according to Rs fans.

The stopper has been in fine form for Hoops this season and is set to sweep the board at the club's end of season awards later this month.

Smithies signed a new deal, to keep him at the club until 2020, much to the delight of QPR's squad and fanbase.

Jake Bidwell felt that the former Huddersfield man was priceless to the club, given his form and prowess saving penalties.

He said: “It's hard to put a price on it. With the amount of penalty saves and points he's won us this season.

“You can't put a price on it. He's experienced now as well. It's not just what he does on the field, it's what he does off it.”
