QPR will give late checks to Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch ahead of Saturday's clash with Stoke City.

The duo both missed last weekend's drubbing at Manchester United but are due to train today as the Hoops hope to get back to winning ways against the Potters.

However, Chile forward Eduardo Vargas has been cleared to play, despite needing stitches to a head wound sustained playing for the U21s earlier this week.

South Korean left-back Yun Suk-young is also in contention after building up his fitness against Millwall's development side on Monday.

Boss Harry Redknapp said: "We have one or two who have had knocks this week.

"Joey has had a bit of a hamstring problem. He is coming out so we can have a look at him, Jordon Mutch the same.

"He [Vargas] had some stitches in his head but he's okay. He trained yesterday."
