Les Ferdinand has been charged by the FA over comments made towards a match official after QPR's defeat against Tottenham on Saturday.
The Rangers director of football has overseen young players like Reece Grego-Cox and Darnell Furlong come into the first team in recent weeks.
But it appears he was unhappy at the officiating during the 2-1 defeat to Spurs and spoke his mind to the match officials after the game.
An FA statement read: “Les Ferdinand has been charged by The FA for misconduct in relation to the Queens Park Rangers game against Tottenham Hotspur on 7 March 2015.
“It is alleged that Ferdinand, director of football at QPR, used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards a match official in or around the tunnel area after the end of the fixture.
“He has until 6pm on 13 March 2015 to respond to the charge.”
