Gabriele Angella says he's happy at QPR despite his lack of starts - and admits he has no idea where he will be playing next season.

The towering Italian has started just 11 of Rangers’ Championship fixtures during his season-long spell away from Vicarage Road, but completed 90 minutes against both Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham at the weekend, helping his side to a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Blues.

A stop-start season with three different managers is enough to test the mettle of even the most professional of players, but Angella is confident he can capitalise on the chance manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has given him, after spending the majority of the season on the bench.

The 26-year-old said: “I haven’t played a lot until now. Every year is different - when I have the chance I try to do my best.”

"I feel well here. After two years at Watford, I changed team and now it’s a little bit different because at Watford there were a lot of international players. Here we have international players, but it’s an English team."

“I’ve played two games and the last game we won so I am happy. I train very well every time and await my chance – now it’s coming and I will try to do my best. I have to continue."

Former Italy U21 international Angella agreed fresh terms on a new five-year contract with the Hornets prior to his deadline-day move to west London, but is unsure where his future lies.

“I don’t know really. I am concentrating to do my best when I have the chance and after we’ll see. I feel well here with the guys, with the coach – we will see."

"I don’t know why it’s been difficult this year but we think now and of the future. I think now we train well with organisation with the new coach and I think next season, we can try to do well."
